Balansi is built to be private by design. It is a local-first app: your records are stored on your own device, not on our servers. This policy explains what information the app handles, and the limited cases where third-party services (Google Drive and Google AdMob) are involved.
1. The short version
- We do not run a server, user account system, or cloud database. Balansi has no way to see your customers, balances, or payments.
- All the data you enter stays in a local database on your device.
- Backups are optional and go to your own Google Drive. We never receive a copy.
- The free app shows a small banner ad through Google AdMob, which is subject to Google’s own privacy policy.
2. Information stored on your device
When you use Balansi, the information you enter is saved locally on your phone. This may include:
- Customer details you add (name, mobile number, address, notes, and optional photo).
- Balance records, items, amounts, due dates, and notes.
- Payments, payment methods, reference numbers, and optional receipt images.
- Your business profile and app settings (currency, reminders, theme).
This information never leaves your device unless you choose to create a Google Drive backup. We (the developers) do not collect, receive, or have access to it.
3. Google Drive backup & restore
Backup is optional. If you connect a Google account, Balansi requests permission to store a backup file in your Google Drive so you can restore your data later or move to a new phone. Please note:
- The backup is stored in your Google Drive, under your control.
- We do not have access to your Google account or the backup file.
- You can delete the backup from your Google Drive at any time.
- Your use of Google Drive is also governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of Balansi displays a small banner ad using Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google and its partners may collect and use certain device information (such as advertising identifiers) in accordance with their policies. We do not sell your data, and we do not use ads that interrupt payment recording.

- You can reset or limit ad personalization from your device’s settings (Advertising ID / Ad personalization).
5. Device permissions
Balansi only requests permissions needed for features you use:
- Photos / Camera — to attach customer profile photos and payment receipts. Images stay on your device.
- Notifications — to send you local due-date reminders. These are generated on your device, not from a server.
6. Data retention & deletion
Because your data lives on your device, you are in control of it. Deleting a record removes it from the app. Uninstalling the app removes the local database from your device. If you created a Google Drive backup, you can delete that file directly in your Google Drive.
7. Children’s privacy
Balansi is intended for general business and personal use and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
